Science & Computer Labs

Science Lab
The junior high lab was remodeled in 2001 to accommodate both whole class and small group work. Labs involve topics as varied as microbiology, dissection, light, and chemistry. In 2005-2006, we earned the Governor’s Award for Youth Science Opportunities. Many students go on to high school and are placed into the advanced track biology and chemistry classes.

Computer Lab
The Saint Vincent Computer Lab is utilized by over 200 students four times each week as an integral part of their learning. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 progress at their own pace in SuccessMaker, a learning management system affording them practice and reinforcement in areas of reading, math, and language skills. Additionally, students receive instruction in proper keyboard skills, beginning and advanced word processing, as well as formatting and design, database, spreadsheet, Power Point, and Internet applications. Our students are the fortunate beneficiaries of Parents’ Association fundraising efforts and generosity. It is one of our essential goals that students are computer literates.
