Other School Safety Policies

* The principal and faculty members have a duty of care, and, thus, are responsible for each child’s safety from the time he/she arrives at school until he/she leaves the school premises during the school day of 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

* School personnel will not be responsible for students or property after school dismissal, including those involved in C.Y.O. sports or activities not sanctioned by the school.

* Communication with Faculty: Parents are encouraged to send a note to their child’s teacher requesting a meeting or phone conversation. Also, parents may call the school office to leave a phone message for any teacher. We do ask that parents do not enter the building, when dropping off their children in the morning, with the intent of speaking to a teacher. Faculty is in the building beginning at 7:00 a.m. This is their time to plan for instruction, meet with pre-scheduled students and/or parents, and meet with other faculty, etc. Once the students enter the classrooms at 7:45, teachers do not have the free time to speak to parents. Please be considerate of this.
